I am SO over the whole "Alien" Franchise....it started with that bastardized version of the "Alien" Storyline....Alien 3 and progressed to pure shit in Alien 4....then, we have the Alien Vs Predator series....a decent idea/concept that again...unfortunately was just gawd awful!!
Please DON'T get me wrong! I loved Alien and Aliens was an excellent sequel!
Unless there can be a re-engineering/reenvisioning or proper re-booting of the series? It won't work :(

I remember in the 90-ies a little upstart comic book company called "Dark Horse" Comics created a line of Alien Comics and Graphic Novels that were awesome and on particular series pick up directly from the events of Aliens. The story line actually had the alien creatures making it to Earth, taking over and battling Humankind.
It was a terrific series...anyone remember it?
Those comics would have made an excellent movie
