As riots break out all over Paris after a right-wing government is elected, reluctant thief Yasmina (Karina Testa) recruits a few friends to exploit the bedlam by looting. With the police on their tail, the gang splits up and regroups at a hostel near the Luxembourg border to divide their haul. But the decision proves fateful when the innkeepers turn out to be neo-Nazi freaks who want to make Yasmina the brood mare for a new Aryan master race.

I have it now. Anyone seen it?

    No,
First time Ihave heard of this one
The premise sounds interesting....but then again.....after seeing the French Horror Flick "High Tension" a while back?
    I dunno.....
"High Tension" was part of that whole wave of uber violent horror flicks that came out around the time when the first "Hostel" movie was a big hit and then there were such "gems" as "Wolf Creek" and the re-make of "Hills Have Eyes"
I will probably end up checking it out at some point...let me know what you think?

        Hmmmmmmm.....
        Interesting....
How is the acting in it?
Is decent or is it really crappy and low budget in a really bad indie sort of way?

no....it's a damn fine looking film with decent acting!
in line with the other current, popular french horrors (Inside, Haute Tension etc.)
if the premise sounds interetesting to you, you will definately enjoy!
          give it a shot ;)

High Tension and Hostel have much more interesting positions on society and social commentary than people make them out for. I really enjoyed High/Haute Tension, but the commentary on men, women, sexuality, etc... was odd. I am not sure if they were making a comment on gay culture, or the fear based culture of psychosis that befalls young women? What we saw happening, versus what really happened is different, you know. I don't want to ruin the film.

Anyhoo.. I have it now in my player. Gotta work some more, and then we shall check it out!

Interesting take on High Tension my friend
I was totally thrown off by the wicked violence that happened throughout the movie and the way it ended?
Strange and interesting and let me with a few question about some of the things that kind of didn't add up...
But....again....interesting in a VERY violent sort of way
I liked your viewpoint/take on the movie as well

                  Well... SPOILERS SPOILERS

                  SPOILERS SPOILERS

                  SPOILERS

Her girlfriend was the one actually DOING the killing, yeah? And she portrayed it to be this sadistic, misogynistic greasy, sweaty man... but all the while it is her taking the control of killing and terrorizing this young girl's family, etc. It almost seems like some homophobic commentary on lesbianism and ultra violence, or their capacity for it.

                  1) I am a bit loaded right now
                  2) I get a lot of shit from my friends from thinking this deeply about horror films. LOTTA SHIT.

Anyhoo... anyone else wanna comment on that cause I would love help clearing that up.

And thanks for the kind words Arcangel.
