So, like any respectable horror fan I had next to no expectations watching this prequel. My hope was only that it not be as bad as the remake which was very yucky-bad. Well, this was a bit better as it sufficiently entertained me for 85 minutes. Not alot or enough Leatherface however. Although they make an effort at detailing his origins for a few scenes, the film isn't really about him, and he's kind of missing for the first half. Really the plot concerns 4 young perople, 2 bikers, and Leatherface's crazy sadistic, cannibalistic uncle who basically steals the show. Leatherface gets his gore on, don't get me wrong. Its just he is not the driving force for the movie, I wouldnt say. I give the film 2 1/2 chainsaws up.
I'd love to hear what others had to say. Go. Now.

Tue, September 4, 2007 - 8:44 AMI thought it was typical. what I would have expected for a Chainsaw movie...
however, I felt like it was more the "father" character that was the bad guy, they made it seem like leatherface was merely doing as he was told rather than the main killer.
