What are some of your (Recent) Favorite Horror Films?
When I say "Recent" I mean those that have been made within the last 9 years?
They can be Remakes, they can be "Re-imagining/Reboots", they can be Foriegn made....

Some my mine that come to mind?
Definitely the "Saw" Series

I just really hate the new horror films coming out but heres a few I like quite a bit. I can't even believe I have 3 remakes on here either.

    Slither
    Cabin Fever
    Wrong Turn
    Dawn of the Dead
    House of 1000 Corpses
    Final Destination 1
    Saw 1
    Jeepers Creepers 1 and 2
    Texas Chainsaw Massacre
    Halloween

Most definitely agree with you when it comes to "Slither" (what an awesome James Gunn movie...reminds me SO much of the early 80-ies movie "Night Of The Creeps"!! A total cheesy campy guilty pleasure to watch! :) )
"Cabin Fever"? Yeah, that was a good one...I liked Eli Roth's first venture into making Movies....it was the catalyst for him making the Hostel films. I also liked the part of the ending that did a quirky little wink wink-nod nod to George Romero's "Night of the Living Dead" (where the guy who played the major prick character comes out as the sole survivor....only to be gunned down by the sheriff's posse at the end....classic!)
Definitely LOVED the remake of "Dawn of The Dead", I thought James Gunn did an awesome re-envisoning/re-booting of George Romero's Classic Zombie move (actually? I think it is THE best remake of the three...the remake of Night of the Living Dead that came out in what? 1987/88 was a pale comparison...and the remake of Day of The Dead"? Well let's put it this way...I ahve heard it is SO fucking bad that it is unwatchable!! So I won't be renting or watching it anytime soon)

Drag Me to Hell was decent. Anyone want to discuss it? I had some issue with the ending

I just saw Drag Me to Hell today. What was your issue with the ending? That is was downbeat? DMTH is actually a reworking of a much better black and white film called Curse of the Demon with Dana Andrews which dealt with runes and satanism. Check out amazon.com for a better description and this film plays on Turner Classic Movies from time to time. Another similar homage is a book called Furance by Muriel Gray.
