who saw it? OMFG it was such a kick-ass movie! S-W-E-E-T
But by the way it ended (again) makes you think they'll have to be another part.

Re: The Hills Have Eyes II
Sat, September 1, 2007 - 8:11 PMI wasn't as crazy about it as you, but I dug it. I like it when a horror movie can set some scenes in daylight and still be kinda creepy. And I definitely liked the kill scenes. Characters were kinda weak though, I thought. Except maybe one or two mutants were kinda cool "characters." Like the turncoat who helped the duo escape.
Damn though the rape attacks were gnarly. I was uncomfortable. I guess thats a plus??

Sat, September 1, 2007 - 11:28 PMtotal crap. what a waste of screen time. of course, if I had a franchise to cash in on, I'd probably do the same. -

Re: The Hills Have Eyes II
Tue, September 4, 2007 - 8:48 AMI hate when the make a second movie and do not tie it into the first, that really bugs me!!
Though they attempted to tie it in slightly, it was still crap on the writers part.
I did enjoy the killing scenes.. well done!!

beyond not good. And albeit I am JUST fine with remakes (WHERE IS MY HARVEY REMAKE!!?!?)..
remaking the part II of a movie is simply weird. It would be like remaking TCMII with Aragorn and Choptop.

Re: The Hills Have Eyes II
Fri, September 7, 2007 - 9:58 PMActually, Hills Have Eyes 2 is NOT a remake, even though there was an "earlier" Hills have eyes 2 from the 70's.
Check it out. they are totally different stories, completly re-written by wes craven and his son, Jon. I Comped some shots on this film. Actually hid some EYES in the hills for a friend who made fun of me for working on it. LOL
I guess you know you're doing a good job if you gross yourself out.
Too bad I can't always just pick the movies I work on. sigh... but I will say I LOVED working on this and made some great friends.
You can see me and a friend playing with the dead mutant baby covered in blood on the producer's desk in my pics. Some chunky stuff in some of the blood in the movie was actually some bad doughnuts I bought at ralphs. BLECh.
